What is PoC radio?
PoC, Push to talk over Cellular. Voice data is transmitted over the public network (such as SIM card traffic or WIFI) to a dedicated server. The server transmits voice data to a specific intercom over the public network as required.
How to set up the radios?
A PoC radio needs two important things. One is sim card, the other is PTT App account. With SIM card, radio can connect to the Internet and voice can be transmitted over network. With PTT App account, the radio can connect to the server and know where the voice is going.
What is PTT App?
You may heard about Zello, RealPTT, WalkieFleet, PoCStars. They are POC service providers, they all have their own servers and apps. Android radios generally can support these PTT apps. However, if the radio is of the Linux type, only RealPTT is generally supported.
What is the difference between Android and Linux?
An Android radio, is more like an Android phone, it supports you to install apps and changes somethings on it. Such as you can change the PTT apps from Zello to RealPTT. But a Linux radio, the PTT app is integrated into Linux modules, there is no interface to change the apps. Overall, Android is more open, Linux is more closed. Linux, on the other hand, is less prone to failure in terms of stability.
Does it work on any country?
It depends on which bands are supported. Generally speaking, we have different bands support versions of PoC radios, such as European version, American version, Southeast Asia version, etc. Before you buy, let me know which country or region you are going to use and we will provide the corresponding version for you
How much data do PoC radios require in a month?
For a regular use, 100 MB data plan will be enough. 1-1.2GB/year.
Do you offer a dispatch system?
If you buy accounts/license from the PoC server providers, they would provide you a management account. What can I do on the dispatch console? You can manage your radios accounts, like setting priority, groups, GPS location, and so on.

Traditional two way radio will always be limited by distance and interference. As we work with a digital connection that relies on cellphones carriers, you will always experience loud and clear interference-free communications. Besides, you don’t need to invest in expensive radio infra-structures, like repeaters, towers, antennas or leasing sites.
